The Aveda Exfoliating Shampoo is great as a 1-2 times a week exfoliator for the scalp. In drier months, would only recommend use once a week.
The shampoo is light and slightly runny but has small particles. I usually leave it in for 15-30 seconds for the product to soak in slightly before washing off.

But I can feel it cleans & works on my blocked oily itchy scalps very well, not even one spot feels itchy until the whenever next washing day. It’s expensive for a shampoo but I used to get the worst dandruff. I used to use head and shoulders but I noticed my hair has been thinning as I age. I've been using this and the conditioner for 2 months now - and I've noticed a decrease in the amount of hair I lose in the shower.
