Fabulous product, excellent price

Is this for you?

elf Tone Adjusting Green Primer preps the skin and fills in fine lines for even makeup application and a long-lasting matte finish. The green tone neutralises any redness present in the skin, and the weightless, silky texture is great for all skin types. Skin is left looking smoother and more even, ready for make-up.

This primer is decent. I expected it to completely cancel out the redness, but it just tones it down. It does even out the skin tone slightly but not enough to ...

    Sal

    Fabulous product, excellent price
  2. Great base feeling but…

    Ella

The product works sooo well as a smoothing primer but the green area of this product does next to nothing to blur redness, though it gives a light light shade of green to your face to neutralise any other pigments such as yellow it works wonders. But if your looking for a green primer you could definitely find something more worth it.
  3. BAD

    jade

I pumped it about 20849 times and in only came out a tiny bit 3 times. Don't use under powder foundation it will make you look orange
  4. Pretty good, not amazing

    Bridget

I have some redness and this made SOME difference, but the Rimmel Insta CC green primer seems to work better at the same price point. I would like to try some pricier version of this product to see what a green primer could really do.
  5. Fairly effective tone adjuster

    Dina

This primer is fairly effective at colour correcting redness in the face; redness doesn't go away completely, but it is definitely toned down. It's better at priming the face and allowing make up to sit smoothly on the face!
  6. So so

    Ding

So so product, didn’t see any amazing results. But compare to this price, nothing to complain.
It is a ok product. If you want to have a primer and didn’t want to spend too much. I recommend this product.
  7. Good

    Av

Elf primers are really good and this is no exception. Takes away the redness and hydrates the skin as well. For the price, it is really good.
  8. primer

    Zhaowei

The fourth time I re purchasing this primer, it is so hydrating and feels amazing on the skin and helps ensure a well-prepped base for makeup. Love it.
  9. smooth like butter

    ash

this primer is so good! it leaves a great feeling on my skin, doesn't clog my pores and makes my makeup feel light on my face for long periods. affordable for beauty on a budget!
  10. Good value

    Jess

A good primer at a good price point. Feels a bit clay-like at first but smooths out quite well after sinking in. Covers light redness fairly well.
  11. Good Primer but not colour corrector

    Jenny

dont be expecting some colour corrector for the red skin. Its a great primer, but doesn't do much to control/cover the redness of my skin. I guess you should just be using a concealer for that!
  12. Great stuff

    Sammii

I have red cheeks all the time and the green primer works the best to making a neutralise my redness. It always feels amazing and it’s a great price
  13. Okay primer

    Maria

This is an okay primer. It feels nice on the skin, but doesn't cover my redness all too well - not the most colour adjusting primer.
  14. CHEAP CC

    Marcus

Not bad for a bargain colour corrector - I have used others which have better coverage in terms of hiding redness but for the price, this one is okay if you only have light to mild redness.
  15. i like it

    kish

    Very good face primer! :)
  16. Works well enough

    Moni.B

This primer works well enough however it doesn't fully cover the redness it just tones it down a bit. I feels nice on the skin and the price is good.
  17. Wonderful!

    Si

Minimises redness as it claims and makes my skin really smooth and gets rid of the definition of my pores.
  18. Great

    Tena

Such a great primer, the texture is nice and goes on smoothly
  19. Surprisingly Good!

    Kylie

For someone who always uses 'high-end' primers, I was surprised with how well it works. I don't have particularly pink or red skin, so I can't comment on it's corrective ability, however, it does smooth the skin and create a lovely base for foundation application. I'll buy again!
  20. It is decent

    Tiffany (staff)

This primer is decent. I expected it to completely cancel out the redness, but it just tones it down. It does even out the skin tone slightly but not enough to really make a noticeable difference. I would still recommend this one if you do have red irritated skin though because it does provide some colour correcting and does improve the makeup's longevity.
  21. good but not great

    monique

reminds me of the smashbox green primer, really smooths out the skin but defs doesnt work on oily skin and it doesnt keep the oils at bay. redness does go down though when using it. product doesnt last long either and i find that im having to replace it quite often
  22. Calms and covers my redness

    Sarah

I was hoping to find a product to use to reduce my pinkish complexion. Hadn’t used a green primer before so have no comparison but I find this calms redness and balances the pinkness while letting my natural skin shine though. I’m now often using this without my foundation as I’m happy with the way it adjusts my skin tone on its own. Would have given 5 starts except I need two squirts to happily c...

  23. Just OK

    Courtney

Not amazing. Has a lot of silicone which might feel nice to some, but just makes me worry about pilling with the other products underneath. I have acne prone, dry skin, with some redness and hyperpigmented acne scars. I find the green colour really doesn't combat any redness. I only wear this with my elf foundation to work, wouldn't wear it on a night out.
  24. Fantastic

    Jennfa

I m not usually a fan of this type of makeup but l m hooked and loving it...so light and skin feels so smooth it really does make a better appearance to your makeup...and your face isnt thick cluggy and bogged down ....loving all elf products...so much value for money and fantastic custoner service..
    Congratulations E,L.F team
  25. Good

    Peter

After years of striking out with pretty much every primer at the high-end store, I decided to try my luck with this one. I will never use anything else again! I have very dry skin, and this does not dry me out or make me flaky. It goes on very smooth, evens out my red tone on my face, and makes my makeup look flawless. And the price cannot be beaten! This product alone has made me a fan of e.l.f. ...

  26. Love

    Bee

Not really a corrector, although it did prolong my makeup wear time.
  27. Value for money

    Dawn

Wasn't expecting a lot here but was pleasantly surprised. Does a pretty good job for a cheaper product at maintaining my makeup while preventing my face from getting too shiny throughout the day.
  28. Okay

    Natalie

It works okay as a primer and has a nice texture but does nothing for colour correction and it’s particularly strong at holding makeup.
  29. Not great for covering redness

    Jessica

This is a great overall primer and feels nice on your skin but doesn’t reduce as much redness as I expected.
It feels nice and is easy to apply and minimises pores really well.
  30. Good value

    Kaylah

Wasn't expecting much from this but I was pleasantly surprised! Does a pretty good job at holding my makeup in place for the day and keeps my face from getting too shiny
  31. Doesn't do what its supposed to

    Sami

Simply put this primer does not work. While it would be fine if it was marketed as a basic silicone primer it would be fine, it is marketed as a "tone adjusting primer." It does nothing at all for redness, as it claims to. If you're looking for a tone adjusting primer to counteract redness, look elsewhere.
  32. good

    Lily-Rose

makes my skin really smooth and gets rid of the definition of my pores. However it does little to minimise redness as it claims
  33. Reminds me of Porefessional, only drugstore price

    Mikaela

I would definitely recommend using this if you are into the silicone type pore filling primers like Porefessional etc. I didn't find that it did too much for redness but it made a little difference, I just pressed it into my skin with my fingers and it was good to go. Definitely will give you a nice smooth surface to work with.
  34. Pretty good primer but doesn't do much for redness

    Ourania

This is a pretty hard working primer as it helps to keep your foundation looking good as new for around 8 hours. It has a silicone like feel upon application and helps your foundation to glide on really easily. It's very budget friendly and non-irritating even on my sometimes sensitive skin. However, I found that this primer did very little to correct or adjust redness.

  35. Leaves skin feeling soft and silky.

    TARA

I love this primer and how it makes my skin feel so soft and silky. I wear it on non-makeup days as it's a nice hydrator and even out skin tone a little. It works well under non-ELF foundations too. Only negative is it can leave excess that doesn't absorb into skin if you use too much. The price could be better for a budget-brand, but I have been purchasing two at a time because I do think it's a ...

  36. Nice, but doesn't do what it promises

    Leilah

This primer feels soft and hydrating on the skin, but it doesn't do what it promises to do. It had no effect on the redness of my skin, which defeats the purpose of going for this 'tone adjusting' primer.
  37. Good primer

    Jenni

It's a lovely primer but does nothing to correct redness so was quite disappointed on that front but for the price point it works brilliantly just as a normal primer.
  38. Better than a super expensive brand

    Brooke

I have been using this primer all week and I am in love! Lasts all day, makeup looks great. I only took off one star because for me, it doesn't really do much for the redness. Would buy it again though!
  39. Amazing value for money!

    Monica

For the price, this primer can't go wrong! I currently have 6 bottles in my draw haha. Feels amazing on, eliminates all pores and evens out my skin tone.. I especially love it as when I do get the occasional pimple which may look red, this primer evens it out and helps the foundation cover it up.. It is my lifesaver!
