Most Helpful Positive

The best for blue, purple or platinum hair

Jess

This stuff is potent! If you intend to stay blond, use sparingly. If you have pale hair and use a little too much or leave it on a little too long, you may end up with blue or lilac hair. You have been warned. That said, this is an extremely effective product and a must have for blondes prone to brassiness.

Works great but its super drying!!

Jacqui

This is such a great toner but it is so incredibly drying and you cannot use it everyday.
  1. Strong toner

    Paragirl

Wear gloves when you are applying this toner! It is very strong but is one of the best ones I've tried. This toner gives my hair a boost and stretches out the time between colouring. I would recommend leaving it in for 5 mins then lathering and rinsing off. It does stain so wash it off your tiles. I do find it leave your hair a bit dry but that's an ok trade off for the results.

  3. holy grail

    Emma

I was really skeptical about this product after seeing a lot of ads for it on facebook. I assumed it was a gimmick and saw many reviews saying it left their hair dry. However, after trying it this is the best blonde shampoo i've ever used. It really tones out all the yellow and leaves my blonde much cleaner. Personally i haven't found it to be drying but I do use my usual hydrating shampoo, condit...

  4. Really Great Purple Shampoo

    Maria

    verified purchaser
I have bleached dark ash blonde hair and have tried alot of purple shampoos over the years , usually its the pigmentation is good then the sudds level is not enough to properly clean my hair but if the sudds level is good then the formula is drying and has bad colour payoff eg. Fudge products.
This one is great though definately the best ive tried so far.
  5. Great for iso

    Starz

I like to use this item twice a week because my hair is more on the "bronde" side and it gives a nice little lightened affect, the cons of this product is that it has a tendency to stain your hands just wash them thoroughly. The product can also be quite drying so I always follow up with a conditioner and leave in conditioner.
  6. Best purple shampoo

    Thea

Love this. Best toning shampoo I have used and I have used many - leave on for varying amounts of time depending on how much tone you need. It is very drying but you only need to use it every now and then. Love that it comes in such a large size, saves money and plastic and lasts for ages.
  7. Has to be the best purple shampoo

    Cherry

I used a sample of it and im hooked. It is the best purple shampoo and i saw my orange hair toned. I think it works just after 1 wash. Had to use a hydrating mask after it is not too hydrating but i dont mind.
  8. Worth the money and great between saloon visits

    Nadia

Really nice blonde toning shampoo, great followed by a really rich conditioner otherwise it can be quite drying. Worth the money and love the pump with it. Lasts for a very long time.
  9. Effective toning shampoo

    Sally

Effective Toning shampoo - hairdresser recommended
  10. I get asked if I've had my hair done recently

    Lindsey

Love this product. It's really strong so only needs to be on for a few minutes before rinsing. It really does work and takes out the brass, leaving hair looking like you have just had it toned in the salon!
  11. Perfect for roots in iso

    Sam

I have natural dark blonde hair but lightened ends which were yellowing in this long quarantine. I rate this shampoo for definitely helping with colour but yes smells a bit chemically and can be drying. I combat with a very nourishing leave in conditioner and only use when I need to not for every wash.
  12. Lasts Forever

    Cindy

This bottle literally lasts forever. Such value for money and was the only purple shampoo I’ve used to keep the yellow away. I would leave it in my hair in the shower while I shave and wash and then rinse out. Worked perfectly
  13. Works great but its super drying!!

    Jacqui

This is such a great toner but it is so incredibly drying and you cannot use it everyday.
  14. my favourite

    HC

I love this shampoo because my bleached but oily hair actually feels clean after using it! It also works very well against brassy tones. Some other purple shampoos feel drying whilst feeling like it's not even cleaning your hair enough so I'm glad I tried this product, very worth it
  15. bit harsh on your hair but still does the job

    Elle

This stuff does what is says it does, which is remove brassy tones, but it smells weird and gets your hands really purple for a bit after using it if you don't wear gloves. I often have to re shampoo with my regular product just to try and get the smell out after I've used the purple shampoo. It also seems to be a bit harsh and drying on my hair but I only use it sparingly once a week so it isn't ...

  16. One of the best toning purple shampoos I've ever used

    MonaMo

I've been bleaching, foiling, lightening my hair for the past 18 years and I must say that this is one of the best toning shampoos I've ever tried. Excellent for toning icy blondes to keep that salon fresh colour. I use alternatively with another shampoo so that I don't get a build up of purple colour. Also, one thing to note this is slightly more drying than other ones I've tried, so using a mo...

this defiantly works but it is so drying, I wouldn't use this after.
  19. The best "no yellow" shampoo

    Nadya

This is the most effective shampoo I've tried that removes brassiness. It also seems to not dry the hair out unlike some other silver shampoos.
  20. Blonde!

    Lauren

Really nice blonde toning shampoo, great followed by a really rich conditioner otherwise it can be quite drying. Only disappointment but was pump barely works and always leaks
  21. Keeping me young and blonde

    George

Definitely does keep the brassiness out of my blonde hair. You have been warned - can discolour your fingers if you're not careful to rinse properly.

I will often use this than another shampoo that adds moisture, to prevent my hair being super dry.
  22. INCREDIBLE

    Daisy

This gets a lot of praise and now I know why! It’s wonderful! My hair seriously sees some amazing effects and keeps my hair so lovely and bright. No more brassy hair and it feels amazing!
  23. Lovely product

    Isabella

Very good for blondes! I love how much my hair lightens after washing my hair with this. So good!
  24. Love it

    MS

I've been blonde for years, and accordingly used many purple shampoos. This rules them all; keeps your colour fresh, the bottle lasts long and isn't super drying unlike most.
  25. WORKS WELL BUT AT A COST.

    SOC

This product does tone the hair well but beware it does completely dry it out!!!!!

I would use this as little as possible and always follow with a hydrating mask.

I used Olaplex shampoo & conditioner after using this as it was so damaged and that really helped with the dryness.
  26. This one is the G.O.A.T

    Kate

I had seen all the Instagram videos and read everything about this and thought the results had to be fake it I ended up trying it and it is the best toning shampoo I've ever tried, and I've tried a lot. It didn't leave my hair with that dry, tangled feeling a lot of shampoos do and it brightened up my blonde SO well!
  27. The best

    Kaylah

Fantastic product! Can't go past it for a smooth, silky sheen and intensified blonde. Keeps my hair healthy and free of brassy tones.
  28. Best toning shampoo

    Donna

I have extremely brassy hair that generally requires toning every 4 weeks to maintain the blonde. Since using this product twice a week I have not had my blonde toned professionally for over 6 months. I use the Nioxin hair mask after to restore moisture as it can be a little drying. Will turn your hands purple.
  29. Strong toner

    Mads

I use this once a week to keep my blonde brass free. Don't leave it on for too long, it can turn the porous pieces of hair purple. I only leave it on for a maximum of 2 minutes. It can also be a bit drying, so make sure to use a mask afterwards. Highly recommend!
  30. Excellent for colour maintenance

    Lisa

After years of ask for my hairdresser's recommendations on which purple shampoo to use and getting vague, useless answers I finally found Fanola thanks to Adore's Beauty IQ! I bought Fanola No Yellow to use in tandem with Fanola No Orange as I'm a dark brunette with balayage and my warm tones can be particularly stubborn.

Fanola No Yellow is great for banishing those unwanted tones, i...

  31. Very strong toner!

    Kerrie

I used this to prolong my colour for up to 2 years without having to tone it! My hair is black but I have balayage with lighter blonde tips. The only issue was that if I left it in for too long, my hair would go purple, despite my tips being not that light! I can't imagine how purple platinum blonde hair would go if you left this in! It can also be quite drying so definitely follow it up with a hy...

  32. very strong but good value!

    Abbie

This is a very strong blonde shampoo! its very purple and definitely stains your hair and hands and bathroom tiles!
It definitely takes the yellow tones out of my hair though, I only leave it on for a few minutes and use it once a fortnight to keep my hair ashy.
  33. Good for toning

    Kays

I leave this on for a few minutes and it does freshen up my blonde without turning it grey/purple. For my fine hair this shampoo dries it out a little, it's not very nourishing. I wouldn't use it more than once a week.
  34. Tones

    M

This is a very strong toning shampoo. It will turn my hair grey in moments and stains my hands. It's a little drying. Not my favourite toning shampoo
  35. It does what it says!

    Kylie

This product does what it says; it removes the warmth from blonde tones. It works in a fraction of the time when compared to other high-name brands. It is highly economical. The only down fall, it does make the hair dry on the ends. I would recommend using a treatment with this product. Also, don't forget to purchase the pump when buying for the first time. It makes it a lot easier to manage...

  37. Wow!

    Emma

Best toning shampoo on the market. Very strong so beware how long you leave it on for! Use a moisturising condition after it’s a little drying
  38. YASSS

    Tarran

So it does dry your hair out a bit and you Definalfy need to invest in a good mask to put the moisture back in but oh boy does it remove the yellow/brassy tones!..
Does stain the hands but by the end if the shower it's all gone, doesn't smell too bad!
  39. life saver in between hair appointments

Best purple shampoo I have ever used!
being platinum blonde and having my roots done every 6 weeks I need something strong to keep my naturally red hair from going brassy. This shampoo saves me in-between visits!

    Isabella

This is great! I’ve had a lot of trouble trying to find purple shampoo that doesn’t dry out my hair but still actually gets the orange/yellow tones out. This works amazing and seriously worth the money because you get a lot!
  41. Very potent and very drying

    Nicolette

Be warned, this isn't for the faint hearted. The product is very strong and dried out my hair, the only way I could stand to use it was to mix with my normal shampoo. Great colour results however my hair just couldn't handle how brittle it became.
  42. Fanatstic

    Jenna

This is the most amazing blonde shampoo! It was recommended to me by a hairdresser, I have naturally blonde hair with foils and find it hard to get to the hairdresser regularly. When I use this product people often ask if I have had my hair coloured. I use approx once every 1 or 2 weeks and it removes and yellowing/brassiness. Also great value if you get the 1L bottles.
  43. Great

    Peta

Love the product, delivers what it says,. I always get compliments on the colour of my hair.
  44. No. 1 Purple Shampoo

    Tiana

I have thick, curly, dark hair which naturally throws back a brassy undertone. I have tried so many purple shampoos but you just can't beat this one, it keeps my hair ashy and that cool toned blonde. Just be careful you don't use too much, you should just use a small amount otherwise it could potentially dry out your hair.
  45. Fast working purple shampoo!

    Jade

I started using Fanola on my chemically lightened hair. After just one use I saw fantastic results! Be warned though- this stuff is strong! I use gloves to apply it and only leave it on for a minute while massaging into my hair then follow with a double shampoo with my normal shampoo. Make sure you use a good conditioner or hair mask after this also as it can dry your locks. I went from a golden b...

  47. The Most Powerful Blonde /Purple Shampoo you will ever find!

    Meike (Adore Beauty Staff)

I heard of this cult shampoo from my hairdresser and friends as the best purple for toning.
I am a platinum blonde -the first time used it for 1 minute due to the super strength!
1 minute combed/wet brushed through was perfect. Anymore my hair turned alittle blue in sections.

Only use 1 to 2 times in a fortnight !
