If you’re looking for a new hairdryer, straightening irons, a curling wand, or basically any other hair tool you need to plug in, this is the place to be. Here at Adore Beauty, we’re mildly obsessed with heat styling, so let’s go through a few of our favourites. Your next good hair day is within reach.

Which hairdryer should I buy? Dyson, Parlux, ghd?

There are a few things to consider when selecting a new hairdryer. How often do you blow dry your hair? How much hair do you have? Will you be doing a second heat-styling step afterwards, or are you a one-and-done type? And perhaps most crucially, how fancy do you feel?

If you’re looking for some luxury, you can’t go past the Dyson Supersonic. This is a bit of a triumph in terms of design and engineering. For those with a taste for the finer things in life, it’s the way to go.

Alternatively, there’s Parlux, the brand of choice for just about every hairdresser we know. Italian made and highly durable, these dryers are simple to use and great quality. Or, the ghd Helios hairdryers are also winners - lightweight, powerful and elegant.

For a very well-priced option, there’s the baby pink Mermade Hair hairdryer. Read more about that one over at Beauty IQ.

Which straighteners are best?

Well, you’ve got options when it comes to hair straighteners. The ghd Platinum+ is extremely clever, and has the curved barrel shape that makes it easy to use for curls and waves. For long hair, there’s the Wide Iron from Cloud Nine, while those who are looking for smooth, shiny hair will want to consider the Hot Tools Gold Titanium Flat Iron.

Feeling fancy? Then try the Dyson Corrale, which has flexible plates and a cordless option for easier, less damaging styling. Ideal.

I love a curling wand. Which ones does Adore stock?

Honestly, so many. We’re covered for curling irons. There’s the Hot Tools 24k Gold Curl Bar, which is the long-term favourite of our founder, Kate Morris, and is supremely easy to use. The Dyson Airwrap is a bit of a technological marvel (keep an eye out for the long version if your hair is lengthy), and the ghd curve 2.0 creative curl wand is a customer favourite.

What about hot brushes?

What indeed. Hot brushes have become quite the thing lately, and when you consider how easily they create the look of a salon blowout (without the dexterity and coordination) it makes sense. The Hot Tools Black Gold Volumiser is a winner in this area, as is the ghd Rise Volumising Brush. If you’re looking to straighten your hair, try the ghd Glide Professional Hot Brush.
