Beauty Tips:

  • Find the right primer for your skin that is simultaneously hydrating and smoothing.

  • While the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation applies best with a brush, using a makeup sponge to blend in makeup on mature skin helps the makeup merge seamlessly with the skin.

  • Too much powder can cling to the skin and make it look dry and crepey, so try using a self setting foundation or a setting spray that will allow you to ditch the powder.

Start with a primer that is hydrating, smoothing and adds the right amount of luminosity to the skin. We recommend using the ultra-hydrating Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Hydrating Primer, which adds radiance to the skin and helps your makeup grip and last. Spend some time massaging this product into the face.

Using a large fluffy brush, lighty apply MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Loose Translucent Powder to your under eyes to set your concealer in place. How do I apply foundation to mature skin?

The key to applying makeup on mature skin is all in the prep, but once you’ve got that sorted, where do you go next?

After hydrating your base with skincare and a primer, it’s best to opt for a lightweight liquid foundation that reflects light. Apply a light layer, making sure to blend the product out properly. This will help to enhance your skin, hide imperfections, but won’t mask your beautiful skin and expression.

Generally, it’s best to stick to lightweight cream products that will easily merge with the skin, as they are less likely to drag, settle or cake.
