Very gentle for a retinol but results plateau quickly. I used this before stepping up to a stronger one and it worked well

  1. Smells so good

    Caitlin

Received as a sample. A fairly weak retinol, especially given the price. I found this to be quite moisturising, although I could tell no difference from the retinol. It does however smell amazing! This is one of the nicest smelling creams I've ever used.
  2. Great intro to retinols

    Steoh

Very gentle for a retinol but results plateau quickly. I used this before stepping up to a stronger one and it worked well
  3. Drying

    Mel

This was stronger than I thought it would be and has no moisturising effects for me. I need to use a moisturiser after it otherwise it leaves my skin dry, tight and scaly - in fact sometimes even if I do use a second moisturiser I still get dry flaky patches.
  4. Great moisturising

    Mani

I recently started using this. My skin seems ok using it as it is not too harsh still using it and trying to make my skin used to of it so i just use it 3 times a week. Lets see how it goes. So far so good
  5. Love this product

    Chloe

I really like this cream, didn't take long for my skin to love it. It goes a long way too, cause you only need to use a small amount each time
  6. Great

    Singh

Great product, non-irritating and lasts a while.
  7. Great retinol

    Masha

Effective to use. Even though it's a cream I still like to use a moisturiser after using it.
  8. Deliciously rich night cream

    Mel

Absolutely love this product, my first tie trying it as usually I use Medik8's other Night Cream. I love both! Will defs alternate them moving forwards.
  9. A brilliant way to introduce

    Maddy - Adore Beauty Staff

Such a luxe night moisturizer - the scent is gorgeous (reminds me of a spa) and it's a great way to get your retinol in without having to add in another product.
  10. Good

    Dhanoa

Good retinol but stings a lot when first getting used to it. For dry skin, always follow with a hydrating moisturiser as it isn't enough on its own.
  11. Definitely effective

    Danika

Love this cream! The texture of it feels great on my skin and I definitely notice a difference in the morning. I feel it helps clear up blemishes and reduces redness from breakouts. Definitely worth trying!
  12. My aunt loves this.

    B

Got this for her for christmas, and she told me she loves it.
  13. Feels Amazing and Helps with Aging

    B

    Significantly improved my fine lines.
  14. love

    loren

great retinol cream, works really well for me.
  15. Gentle but effective

    Nell cantrill

I always wake up feeling amazing after using this moisturiser. I used it by itself initially when I first started using retinol and now that my skin is more tolerant I layer it with a Medik8 retinol serum.
  16. Luxurious night cream

    Oily and acne

I really liked this night cream and it was gentle enough to use nightly. I have an oilier skin type so I did find it to be moisturising enough without leaving an oil slick and I liked the texture I woke up with in the morning. The only reason I won't be a regular purchaser is because I want a stronger retinol and to be giving my skin a break between applications.
  17. Cleared my breakouts but gave me severe headaches

    Louise

Am I the only person to get severe headaches whilst using this cream???? Well I already know that I'm not the only one as my friend tried it and had the exact same reaction....severe headaches, sore body & just felt generally terrible. I love the MEDIK8 brand, everything else i use is MEDIK8 & I actually really liked how quickly this product got rid of any blemishes but I just had to stop using ...

  18. Not Sure

    Kelly

I may not have established tolerance. After using this cream, the skin is very dry. I'm going to use it every other day. I'll continue to give feedback.
  19. Good, But Expensive for a .2% Retinol

    K

Received a sample of this and liked it but probably wouldn't buy again. My skin is used to .1% retinol but can be quite sensitive. I experienced zero side effects or irritation using this nightly, however I wasn't a fan of the gritty texture. It felt like I was dragging the product over my skin, I personally would much rather a uniform, smooth product. In terms of results I probably haven't used i...

  20. Nice moisturiser, gentle but effective

    Laura

I like this cream a lot. I have sensitive skin and I am still relatively new to the retinol game so I found this cream gentle but still gives me results without any irritation or drying. It is a very nourishing cream with a nice scent. I've been using this for two weeks and can see improvements in my fine lines and texture on my face.
  21. Great for those starting retinol

    Bonnie

This is a great product for retinol beginners who have oily skin. It is lightweight and gentle on the skin. Although I am used to 1% retinol, my skin can get irritated every now and then and this cream helps with nights I want to something calmer.
  22. Soothing Vitamin A

    Fireworks

I love the consistency and texture of this vitamin a product. It is creamy and glides well onto my skin. The vitamin c percentage is pretty low so I do not see a noticeable difference like I have with other retinol products so this is a great vitamin a product to start off with.
  23. great night cream

    howen1

I love the texture of this cream not too thick or light. My skin has been used to retinol so didn’t see any reaction from this cream. Think great for retinol starter.
  24. Anti aging

    Emma

I often use it with their retinol 6 serum. There’s a slightly scrub sensation when I apply it onto my face. I often add facial oil to boost the moisture as I have a dry skin type. Skin looks bright and smooth the next morning
  25. It’s okay

    KJ

I received a sample of this product...
it’s nice but I don’t love it. It’s drying which I don’t mind as it’s a retinol but I feeling like it’s not strong enough for my skin. It’s a unusual texture ( roughish).
I feel there’s other retinols that are better value
  26. Additional Booster

    Mag

I tested a sample of this cream on my mature skin. I applied it three times by week over the crystal retinal to improve the brightness of skin. I am satisfied with the result. My skin is soft and tolerates the formula very well.
  27. Great

    Tilly

Honestly don't know how you can go wrong with any product that has retinol in it! Leaves my skin feeling so soft and hydrated
  28. nice moisturiser

    Leonie

I received a sample of this - it's a nice retinol booster used on top of other actives, but on its own i found it to be a bit ineffective. It is a light cream and is not oily or heavy.
  29. Gentle

    GB

I've been using this for a couple of weeks and have found that it's not irritating on my dry/sensitive skin but I do need to moisturise after, so I tend to apply it early in the evening and then apply another moisturiser a couple of hours later.
  30. Not hydrating enough

    Celina

This retinol cream is actually quite strong for a cream. I have been using Aspect Retinol Brulee with no problems but this gives me a tingle. While my skin isn't overly dry or flaky, I find this cream sinks in a lot and leaves it matte. Given It's a night cream I'd rather something more hydrating and nourishing. Wouldn't recommend for normal/dry skin.
  31. Great retinol!

    Kat

Got this as a sample and repurchased! Great intro to rerinol as its not too intense (i was using ordinary 2% amd it was just too much for me)
  32. Great for first timers

    Leen

This is a great cream for first time retinol users doesn’t make skin overly dry and flaky! Just have to moisturise afterwards
  33. Not convinced

    Sian

Hard to describe but this cream feels a bit abrasive on my skin and isn't as hydrating as I'd like from a night cream.
  34. Love it

    Jess

This was recommended to me by my facialist last year after I experienced some really horrible breakouts. Having never used vitamin A cream before, I was hesitant, as my skin is incredibly sensitive, however I absolutely loved this as an introduction to retinol products. I noticed a significant difference in the texture of my skin after using this consistently for a few weeks, and would definitely ...

  35. Unsure

    PR

Received this as a sample. I think it has made a difference to my skin complexion, in a positive way. Absorbs well, light weight. The best vitamin A cream I have used at this stage. Used it second/third daily without irritation. Would definitely buy this product.
  36. Night time cream

    Leen

This is a great introduction for using retinol for first timers. ive used this product for quite a few months now! sensitive skin just make sure you moisturize after applying it.
  37. Great starter retinol

    Sahara

This was one of the first retinol products I've started using and it's so gentle but incredibly effective! It's made my skin smoother, clearer and less pigmented after consistent use. I would definitely recommend!
  38. First time using retinol

    laura

My facialist got me onto the medik8 crystal 3 for my first time using a retinol, however it was too strong so she swapped it out for this Medik8 Vit A Retinol Cream, and i love it!
It is such a nice way to ease into a retinol cream. It is super hydrating and plumping.
I use ever second night on its own after i've cleansed.
  39. Best night cream EVER!!

    Ref

I've had a bit of a hit and miss relationship with vitamin A products, but this product is beautiful! Hydrating enough for a night product, but not to heavy, and definitely helps with texture and complexion, will always have some jn the cupboard
  40. I like, but not love

    Soph

This cream is a great way to introduce retinol into your night skincare routine but I gotta admit, it does leave my skin feeling dry afterwards. Not quite what I was expecting with a moisturiser but maybe that's just the vitamin A working its magic, or it's not right for my skin. I probably won't buy again but it was good to give it a go.
  41. Retinol = Bestfriend

    Leen

When i heard about the retinol band wagon i had to jump on! this is a great retinol for first time users so your skin gets used to it! when i first started using this my skin was tingly and warm then it started flaking off but you just have to up your moisturizing routine as retinol can be known to dry the skin in which i did notice! but this is the new YOUTH! get on it!
  42. I would of expected this to have better reviews

    Shannylouisa

I love this cream, i have used a million different skincare brands and this one is actually decent! i have such dry skin and I find this is so moisturising. Bonus that it has retinol in it. Would recommend!
  43. A great way to start using retinol or boost a retinol serum

    Nell

This was my first retinol product and I had no issues introducing it into my skin care routine. It is hydrating and feels my skin feeling lovely and smooth in the morning. I now use it to boost my retinol serum and can really see the difference in my skin between the nights that I wear it and the nights that I don't.
  44. Good but waiting to see the longer term results

    Robyn

Happy that I bought this product and it’s super easy to use and incorporate into my night routine. Have been using for a couple of weeks and am hoping there will be noticeable differences over the coming months.
  45. Great to start using retinol

    AC

I use this product in conjunction with the Hydr8 serum and the retinol 3TR+ intense serum and I have noticed a difference in my skin texture and appearance, it is much more hydrated and plumper. I find you only need a very small amount and you need to follow the usage instructions as it can be quite harsh on your skin to begin with. I would also use an SPF during the day when using this product at...

  46. Perfect for first timers

    Kathleen

I really love this vitamin a cream, it glides on the skin. i have sensitive skin it tingles a little bit but that is normal - i have quite dry skin also you need to make sure you are moisturizing
  47. Great if you’ve never used retinol

    Tip

I love this product and is great for every skin type, especially if you are new to using any retinol. If you are new then I would recommend to gradually use it 2-3 times a week for the first few months and then start using it everyday. If your skin is drying Out that means you’ve overused it for your skin. If you have very dry skin then try using the hydra B5 before using the cream. But overall I ...

  48. It works well for my mum

    Iris

This product was way too harsh for me, but it actually works wonders for my mother. She swears by it.
  49. Formula changed and not the same

    Vanessa

Since Medik 8 upgraded this formula last year, it has not lived up to expectations and is not as good as the previous night ritual in the red jar. My skin continually peels, is dry and not as glowing as it was when I used the old formula. Like the other reviewer I also had a raised red patch under my eye which took a few days to clear, even though product was not used under eye. Disappointed with ...

  50. Left a big red mark under my eye which has yet to fade

    Iris

I patch tested this behind my ear as recommended and it was fine. However when I tried the product on my face it left a red, raised circle under my left eye which has yet to fade... it has been about 4 days. It's reduced slightly, but still quite red and raised which is worrying. I am hoping it fades soon. I have never had a reaction to a product before so this is quite concerning to me. Would rec...
