Great moisturiser

If the original Weleda skin food scares you off with its consistency, this is a great alternative. The same amazing nourishing ingredients and scent, this version is excellent on face for day or night. I would use this in summer, and the original in winter.

I have 'normal' skin however I feel like this is too heavy for the face. OK for the body. Can smell the chamomile when rubbing it in but it's not a lingering smell

As my normal day moisturiser ran out, I didn't hesitate in purchasing Skin Food Light and I haven't looked back. It's just as nourishing as the original but sinks in much easier.     I received the skin food as a sample and really liked it, however thought it was a bit thick so opted to by the 'light' version. I don't use it every night, but on the nights I feel like some extra hydration I apply it as my last step. Its nice and thick, almost feels like a mask. Smell is quite strong but I like it.

Don't get me wrong the scent is amazing but its rather strong to put on your face. Its definitely more suited to a body cream. I bought the light but still think its a bit thick and sticky.     I love the original skin food - however I sometime wish it would absorb faster. Enter Skin Food Light - does everything the original does - but it is not as thick so it absorbs faster. I think the original is better for highlighting the high points of your face - but if you want to moisturising factor without the long lasting sheen - this is for you.

I’m always very weary about trying new moistures as I have very sensitive skin, however this one worked quite well! very smooth to put on and buttery on my skin. I have a lot of blemishes which it seemed to smooth. I’ll be buying this next time.

    I love this for my skin! The regular Skin Food is amazingly moisturising, and non-irritating, however it was far too greasy for me, maybe because I purchased it in the summer. This is such a happy medium of intense moisture without the greasy feel. I love it so much as a night cream, and would be happy to use as a day cream too. I have combination-oily skin, and it works great!

It still has the same scent, and functionality but I t’s easier to spread and definitely more lightweight (as the name suggests) - so you will definitely prefer this if you find the original skin food too thick.

    I use this as a night cream in the warmer months and it's pretty good. It can easily be mixed with serums to give skin an extra bit of tlc.

    It is a little sticky though, so that why I've deducted half a star. Other than that it's a great low budget staple moisturiser that the whole family can use.
