My hair is naturally wavy.
Not the nice beach kind of wavy, but the frizzy-can’t-wear-it-unstyled wavy.
Only half of my hair looks nice when it dries naturally, and the other half looks like Hagrid’s hair.
When the mermaid waves style became viral, I was excited to say the least! I bought a hair waver straight away and have been using it ever since.
So when I had the opportunity to try the new heavy-duty GHD barrel waver (exclusive to Adore Beauty ONLY for the next few weeks might I add) I was very excited!
Could this be the new elite hair waver of my dreams?
Its promise of "easy, crease-free, beachy waves that last all day" certainly had me intrigued.
Let's find out more...

How to Use GHD Wave Triple Barrel Hair Waver.
I apply the new
GHD curls gone wild spray before I begin styling. This hair spray provides heat protection, and builds volume and texture without that pesky crunch that other texture sprays often leave behind.
I then take a small section of hair and apply the waver at the top of the roots, hold for three seconds, then repeat this on the mid section and bottom section of the hair. I usually leave about a three centimeter gap on the ends of my hair so that I can have a straight end.
My GHD Triple Barrel Waver Review.

I have used hair wavers before and here are the standout differences I noticed when using the GHD waver:
The GHD is noticeably lighter. The previous wavers I have used have been quite heavy and when you’re doing your entire head it can be quite the workout! The GHD waver was much easier to use and I found that I didn’t need to hold it on my hair quite as long to achieve a lasting style. Also, I felt like the wave was smoother and less-frizzy compared to other wavers I’ve used.
There were no indentations. I know the brand mentions this is their product description, but I was skeptical. Turns out, they were telling the truth! There were no indentions in my hair (near the top of the roots which is usually where I experience the indentation) at all. This was quite impressive as the indentations do frustrate me, so I was very pleasantly surprised with this GHD’s ability to style without them!
The waves were softer and smoother. The GHD produced more of a “worn-in” look as opposed to other wavers I’ve used which produce very very defined waves. I prefer the “worn-in” look, it makes it feel more suitable for everyday wear and looks a bit more natural on me.
I have worn my hair wavy countless times to work. The one single time I used the GHD waver, I got four compliments on my hair. FOUR. That’s got to count for something - right?
Final Thoughts...
I know when it comes to electrical hair stylers, they can be quite pricey (this powerful hait tool is no different) so you want to be confident that it’s the right one for you.
For me, this one is definitely worth the price tag. My hair looks effortlessly styled and shiny, the waves last and it’s very easy and comfortable to use.
When you think about the cost-per-use, it’s totally worth the investment in my opinion. I have officially upgraded my waver and I couldn’t be happier!
