In Partnership With TYPEBEA.
There's a reason beauty lines (despite their saturation in the market), continue to command our vanity real estate.
Want to smell like Kylie Jenner? There's a
best-selling fragrance for that. Chasing a supermodel-worthy glow? Miranda Kerr's
Kora Organics is considered gold standard. But if you’re chasing genuine hair goals? Look no further than
TYPEBEA.
Crafted by hair chameleon Rita Ora and Anna Lahey (the visionary behind the
Vida Glow dynasty), their own lush manes are only the beginning of the story. Their considered approach to haircare includes scientifically powered ingredients, cutting edge technology and an ethos that is as inclusive as it is aspirational. 'Your best hair, ever'.
Launching in 2024 with
a range that tackles hair loss and density, their latest collection is all about bond repair. Think: hydrating parched strands, smoothing over frizz and literally reversing breakage. Yes, this may just be the Superwoman of haircare.
As a devotee to hyper-reparative haircare - in fact my dry, regularly-straightened strands often begs for it - it's suffice to say this newbie Bond Repair range had my interest piqued.
From the molecular science to the immediate glass-like shine, here is everything you need to know about the range.
How do bonding hair products actually work, and what makes the RDS Bond Complex the industry’s new talking point?
Essentially, these treatments go beyond the surface to repair broken protein bonds (specifically disulfide, ionic, and hydrogen bonds) within the hair cortex. Unlike standard conditioners that merely coat the hair, these formulas penetrate deeply to rebuild structural integrity from the inside out. Making hair visibly stronger, smoother and more resilient.
TYPEBEA say "think of disulphide bonds as the scaffolding inside your hair. They keep it elastic, resilient and smooth. When they break, your hair literally can’t hold itself together". That’s where TYPEBEA's
RDS Bond Technology steps in to rebuild these vital connections.
What does RDS Bond Complex mean exactly? It stands for TYPEBEA's 3 pronged approach to hair repair - a Repair Complex (R), a Defend Complex (D) and a Shine Complex (S).
The former, Repair Complex, harnesses a hydrolysed keratin from New Zealand sheep’s wool that’s 91% homogenous to human hair to bind the most damaged parts of your hair; restoring strength and forming new disulphide bonds in the cortex. Promises to reduce breakage by 80% after one use and return damaged hair close to their healthiest, virgin state.
The Defend Complex is all about future-proofing. A liposomal antioxidant blend of Ferulic Acid, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E (hello, skinification) reaches deep into every strand to stop external aggressors like UV, pollution and heat from wreaking havoc. This protects against split ends and breakage, prevents frizz and protects against colour fade.
And finally a cocktail of nourishing vitamins like pineapple, cocoa and banana extracts to supercharge shine by 44%. Think: lustrous, mirror-like results.
With results both instant and long term, investing in your hair’s structural health has never been a better idea.
TYPEBEA R.1 Pre-Wash Damage Repair Mask

Fast Facts:
Strengthens and repairs damaged strands before washing
80% less breakage after consistent use
Boosts shine and softness after just one application
Deeply moisturises dry and brittle hair
Silicone, sulphate and paraben free
I usually associate anything 'pre-wash' with being exfoliating or gritty. Instead, this pre-wash mask is ultra-nourishing and acts as a primer prepping hair for some serious damage repair.
Applied on dry or damp strands at least 20 minutes before washing, it works to effectively recalibrate the hair’s internal structure, smoothing out unruly frizz and neutralising breakage. It's formulated with their signature RDS Bond Complex, so consider strands fortified and rehydrated before you even step under the showerhead.
Interestingly, the treatment mask is designed for a root-to-tip application. I have personally never experienced a mask that encourages scalp contact without the fear of immediate grease. The texture is beautifully thick and buttery, exactly what my parched strands crave. But despite its richness, it is surprisingly fast-absorbing.
As I rinsed the treatment out, I did notice my hair felt soft, silky and fortified. There was no heavy weigh down or residue. It washed out with ease and there I was, ready for step 2.
TYPEBEA R.2 Damage Repair Shampoo and R3. Damage Repair Conditioner

Strengthens and softens hair without heaviness
Shields strands from UV damage and colour fade
Boosts shine and elasticity with lasting results
No rinse, no mess - just apply and go
Powered RDS Bond technology
Sulphate, silicone and paraben free
While I am a self-prescribed fan of all things TYPEBEA - I must admit I didn't warm to their OG Strength + Length Shampoo and Conditioner duo. Our Senior Beauty Editor Sadaf however loves it (read her
glowing review here). The beauty of different hair types, right?!
Luckily for me - this new duo hit the spot.
Alongside the RDS Complex, the shampoo is dosed with hyaluronic acid to intensely hydrate while maintaining moisture balance for both scalp and hair. The formula is pH-balanced and designed to be non-stripping for an effective cleanse that won’t leave hair feeling dry, fragile or tangled.
Oh, and it lathers like a dream; very fluffy and very nourishing.
The conditioner - again, brimming with their high powered RDS Complex - uses squalane (a plant-derived hydrator that mimics skin’s natural oils) to lock in moisture and restore suppleness. Squalane helps protect the scalp barrier, reduce water loss from hair strands and adds smoothness.
I coaxed my strands mid-length to ends and left it on for a few minutes. The nourishment was unreal. My hair felt stronger and healthier. It also seemed to help detangle some persistent knots.
I was a teensy bit concerned that, it would weigh strands down (cocooning formula and all) but my hair felt light, squaeky clean and silky. Sans any greasiness or build-up.
Like all things TYPEBEA the sensorial experience was top notch.
Worth noting: both products are silicone, sulphate and paraben free. And safe for colour-treated and chemically processed hair.
TYPEBEA R.4 Intense Repair Leave-In Treatment

Chloe's Review: If you’re after maximum hydration with minimal effort, lean-in treatments are where it’s at - and the TYPEBEA Leave-In does so much more than just hydrate. This bond-repair hero deeply nourishes the hair while helping protect against colour fade and UV damage, and it’s a total lifesaver for heat-stressed strands.
After the shower, on towel-dried hair, I simply pump a small amount into my hands, distribute evenly, and work it through my lengths. It leaves my medium-weight hair feeling light, soft, and beautifully nourished. Safe to say, this one’s earned a permanent spot in my routine.
