Now, it was our turn. Here's our verdict...
"I take road-testing lip products very seriously. Especially right now when my lips are barely hanging on to any semblance of moisture.
Sure, it was making waves on my social feeds and credible people I believed did love it, but until I road-tested it on my own chapped lips, I couldn't confidently say it was good.
Now, I can.
I am genuinely compelled at how a less than $17 lip balm works better than some bougier lip balms I've tried.
After only a few days of use, my lips did feel less dry.
It has a gel-like texture that doesn't leave behind that sticky or tacky feeling. Instead, when I run my fingers over my lips, they feel soft but more importantly, the dry feathering that’s usually apparent a few hours later isn’t there.
I’m assuming this is the squalane coming through with the long-lasting hydration and I truly appreciate it.
I also didn't detect a scent, so if you like your lip products to leave behind a fruity or fragrant smell, this isn’t it.
It’s just here to get the job done. And that it does!
They’re not lying when they claim this to be your “emotional support lip balm”.
I even fiddle with it at my desk when I'm not using it! Blame the cute O-shaped packaging.
Does it offer all day hydration?
Not ALL DAY.

"The Ordinary Squalane + Amino Acids Lip Balm is like indulging in a luxurious milky bath after a long, tiresome day.
Its texture is unlike any other lip balm I’ve tried — almost like The Ordinary Squalene Cleanser (makes sense), except in this case you don’t wash it off.
It feels comfortable on the lips and was more hydrating than I’d expected given its lightweight texture.
I found it best to apply a generous amount and let it sink into your lips a little before rubbing them together to make it last longer. It does leave behind a dewy sheen and somewhat oily residue, but as someone who loves a lip oil, I’m all for the extra nourishment.
