Slightly better that John Frieda - at x7 the price
Good things: pretty packaging, pretty Oribe smell.
Bad things: Drying. Leaves hair like straw - if you use this, be careful to use it only at the scalp and consider using conditioner as a 'barrier' over the rest of the hair shaft. Next thing- the product certainly comes out of the tube looking deeply violet, but somewhere, very little of that pigment ended up in my hair that I (or anyone else, including my hairdresser) could tell. Which is odd, considering how porous my hair is.
Alternative products - for colour-extending or -enhancing for blondes, Fanola is the only product I can endorse at this point in time, although it has its problems. I'm currently trialling Kevin Murphy's Blonde Angel. Also see R+Co, made by the same company as Oribe but around half as expensive.
