One of the most common beauty questions we get from friends, family and strangers on the internet is... but is [insert product] really worth the hype?
Is it worth the money? What's it really like? But is it actually good?
They're all fair questions because without seeing or trying something in real life, it can be hard to know whether a product will or won't work for you. That's where we come in.
It's for this reason we've decided to do a roundup of five popular hair products that are genuinely worth the hype.
From a best-selling shampoo and a cult treatment, to the buzzy new K18 bond mask everyone's raving about, keep scrolling for what you need to know about these very good hair products.
1. Philip Kingsley Elasticizer.
Adore customers describe it as: "Magic in a tub" and "worth the hype".
How to use it:
Apply a generous amount to the mid lengths and ends of wet hair before shampoo. Bundle your hair up under a shower cap or towel (the warmth from your head will help it work) and leave in for at least 20 minutes, or overnight. Then rinse, shampoo and condition.
Why it's worth the hype:
The world's first and the original pre-shampoo treatment (yep, you use this before shampoo).
Elasticizer protects and strengthens hair, prevents breakage, adds shine... basically, what can't it do?
Contains hydrolysed elastin protein for strength, castor oil and glycerin for hydration, and olive oil for shine.
Originally created for Hollywood actress Audrey Hepburn in the 70s, one of these is sold every two minutes.
