A month ago, I got married!!
In the lead-up to my wedding, the one question I was asked by numerous people was, "Are you doing your own makeup??"
Because we had a total of SIX wedding events and I knew I would be doing my own glam for all my pre-events, I treated myself to getting glammed up by the incredible
Fareha!
But beauty remains in my heart, so of course I had to also add my own touches to my bridal look, with the aim of ensuring my face looked airbrushed and photo-ready.
Here are my makeup heroes that took my wedding look to another level!

Many people have a “wedding fragrance", but I have a special “wedding foundation”. Armani Luminous Silk Foundation has been a staple for years, especially during my bridal era.
This foundation was a non-negotiable during my proposal, pre-engagement and engagement party and now my wedding.
Months before my wedding, it was announced that the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation was being reformulated (yes, I kind of panicked). I got my hands on the new formula just before my wedding, and fortunately, I INSTANTLY fell in love!
Here’s a wear test I did before the wedding:
A long-lasting foundation was essential for my wedding, given I was getting ready at around 11am and knew I would not be removing my makeup until at least 1am.
It was also important to me that the foundation would sit comfortably on my skin, because the last thing I needed was to worry about a touch-up mid-ceremony.
Luckily, the newly formulated Luminous Silk ticked all the boxes. It is also the same texture and finish we love, but with a more lightweight feel! When Fareha asked which foundation I wanted to use, nothing else compared to the Luminous Silk.
Not only did my foundation stay put all night long, the niacinamide and glycerin kept my skin nourished and hydrated. Fareha beautifully incorporated the foundation into my wedding look, leaving my skin airbrushed and flawless!

This one should come to no one’s surprise. The Huda Beauty Easy Bake is quite literally
my secret weapon to a blurred and long-lasting base.
My favourite shades are:
Banana Bread for all over the setting; and
Peach Pie or Cherry Blossom for under-eye brightening.
Not only did this powder ensure my makeup did not budge at all, I also could not risk looking oily in any photos.
Fareha used Cherry Blossom.

Peachy blushes are so underrated and, in my opinion, look so beautiful on South-Asian skin.
My personal favourite is Huda Beauty’s Toasty Peach Quad, which provides the most perfect coral and peachy shades.
This has been a staple in my routine since its release and I honestly believe there is no other coral shade which complements my skin tone as well as the Sunset Lychee shade does.
These blushes layer so well with other products without getting cakey. Like the Easy Bake formula, these ultra-matte blushes also leave an airbrushed finish.

Because one blush was not enough…
Recently I have been using the YSL Blurring Blush in the shade 93 as a blush topper.
I would never turn to a shade this bright (it’s literally Barbie pink!) but this formula just feels SO right!
The beautiful pinky tones give a gorgeous flush of colour whilst leaving an iridescent glow. Since I knew I would be getting photographed a lot, this was my secret to silky-looking skin in photos.
I also typically steer away from shimmery products on my cheeks because they can often leave a streaky finish, but the shimmer in this product disperses so seamlessly and leaves a soft skin-like sheen even with heavy glam.
A Hindu wedding means a long ceremony with zero time to touch up the lips. The Maybelline Lifter Lip Liner is not only creamy and pigmented, but it’s also incredibly long-lasting!
This liner did not budge in the slightest. One of my usual go-to lip combo is the Lifter Liner in shade 'Cross the Line' with any neutral brown lipstick or gloss. So, on one of the most important days of my life, there was no question about what liner I would use.
The best part is these lip liners are formulated with hyaluronic acid and jojoba oil, providing a moisturised and comfortable feel, which is of course super important for such a long day!
