We knew when we launched Ultra Violette last year that it was going to be the cool girl sunscreen brand - although we didn't anticipate the whole wearing-sunscreen-daily-and-being-vigilant-about-it movement to take off quite so quickly (we're very glad it did).

Why Is This Body Sunscreen So Popular?
Most of us are familiar with the trial and error that is finding a good sunscreen. They can be greasy, smelly, stingy and gluggy - all the things you definitely don't want to slather on your body before hitting the beach.

What's The Deal With Sunscreen Application?
Unfortunately, despite the fact that we're the most at-risk of skin cancer, Aussie's aren't applying enough sunscreen. Don't get me wrong, they're applying sunscreen, but they're either using too little, or not reapplying regularly enough.
So, how much sunscreen should you apply? The answer is a teaspoon for each body part. For example, a full teaspoon on each leg, a full teaspoon for your back etc. Or around 30mls for your whole body (equivalent to a shot glass).
Although Extreme Screen offers 4 hours water resistance, we'd still recommend reapplying every 2 hours as you normally would to ensure you are maximising your sun protection. And just because you're wearing SPF50+, that doesn't mean you can ditch your hat or the shade in lieu of laying in the sun. Be sunsmart people, it's cool now.
