The Beauty Chef’s Best-Seller Just Got Better
We often talk about true beauty being inside and out. But these days, it's not just a figure of speech.
While the ‘gut’ might not conjure up the prettiest picture, beauty (and science) lovers are quickly realising the important role it can play when it comes to glowing skin.
An increasing number of studies and a growing ingestibles category are a testament to the game-changing discovery The Beauty Chef founder Carla Oates introduced back in 2009: the health and state of our gut can indicate and influence what’s happening with our skin.
The internet is filled with Beauty Chef reviews, raving about The Beauty Chef Collagen Inner Beauty Boost, The Beauty Chef Cleanse Inner Beauty Powder, and of course, their best-seller, The Beauty Chef Glow Inner Beauty Essential.
Celebrities love it. Beauty editors rave about it. And your next-door neighbour is on her fifth tub (probably).
So what makes GLOW® so damn good? We hope you've got a few minutes, the list is long...
What’s So Good About GLOW®?
GLOW® is a daily inner beauty powder packed with supernutrient ingredients, probiotics and postbiotics for radiant skin, hair, energy, gut health and overall wellbeing.
Put simply, 1 tsp a day = glowing skin.
The highlights:
Nourishes your gut microbiome for a truly natural glow from the inside out.
Boosts collagen production.
Supports healthy hair and nails.
Increases energy.
Supports cellular turnover process.
Protects the skin from within.
Contributes to a healthy immune system function
Contains prebiotics and probiotics for a healthy belly.
From that one little teaspoon, you can boost your recommended daily intake (RDI) of vitamin C by 200% and zinc by 50% for some significant glow goodness.
So... What's Actually in It?
Have you got five minutes? Because the ingredients in GLOW® are seriously impressive — not to mention potent.
GLOW® contains:
Provitamin A – Derived from natural beta-carotene sources, GLOW® contains up to 20% of your RDI of provitamin A to support cellular turnover, skin structure and healthy immune system function.
Vitamin C - GLOW® contains 200% of your RDI of vitamin C, which supports collagen formation and the protection of cells from the ageing and damaging effects of free radicals.
Biotin - Derived from sprouted quinoa, biotin contributes to the maintenance of healthy hair and skin, and assists with macronutrient metabolism and energy production.
Niacinamide - GLOW® contains 25% of your RDI of naturally-occurring active niacinamide (vitamin B3), which is integral for normal skin function and structure and assists with the reduction of tiredness.
Zinc - GLOW® contains up to 50% of your RDI of zinc to support immune function as well as healthy hair and nails.
Prebiotics, Probiotics & Postbiotics - Supercharged with the exclusive Flora Culture™ bio-fermentation process, GLOW® contains a natural broad-spectrum probiotic and postbiotic.
Lactobacillus Rhamnosus GUT5Y™ - An exclusive probiotic strain that has been shown to support digestive well-being.
“Organic sprouted quinoa has also been included to provide a naturally derived source of B group vitamins, specifically activated niacinamide (vitamin B3) for 24 per cent of your RDI and 25 per cent of your RDI of biotin,” says Carla.
Phew. Talk about an overachiever!
Who Is It For?
Do you want healthier hair and nails, glowy skin and improved gut health for inner beauty? Then it’s made for you.
“At The Beauty Chef we believe that beauty begins in the belly, so GLOW is absolutely suited for those customers seeking a more holistic approach to beauty and wanting to achieve long-lasting results for their overall wellbeing,” says Carla.
But don't be fooled, it's not just the suggestion of glowing skin that will compel you to try this powder. You can listen to beauty editor, Joanna, explain how this powder drastically impacted her gut health on Adore Beauty's podcast here.
How Do You Drink It?
While GLOW looks slightly brown in the container, when mixed with water it actually turns into deep raspberry red which looks rather delicious. Mix 1 teaspoon (5g) daily into 200ml of liquid, like water, a smoothie or even juice.
Look. It’s no fancy cocktail, and it took a bit of getting used to drinking if you don’t regularly take supplements or powders but it tastes fine. The berry-like scent is lovely, with the new formula boasting almost tropical notes too.
While water is the simplest choice, some people find it a bit difficult to swallow. If so, there are plenty of other options - one of Carla's fave ways to take it is with coconut yoghurt.
However, it’s important to take your GLOW in a chilled or room temperature drink or dish as the heat kills the good bacteria (sorry tea!).
And once opened, pop your GLOW in the fridge to make sure you’re getting the most from all the beneficial and efficacious ingredients packed inside.
