Start by applying a heat protectant liberally to your hair. Select the temperature that's suitable for your hair type. The digital display will show you the current temperature and allow you to adjust it as needed. While the curling iron is heating up, brush or comb your hair to remove any tangles. Separate your hair into small sections, starting from the bottom and working your way up. Clip the rest of your hair out of the way. Take a small section of hair and place the curling iron near the roots, making sure that the barrel is facing downward. Wrap the hair around the barrel, making sure to keep it taut. Hold for a few seconds and then release. Repeat the process with the remaining sections of hair, working your way from the bottom to the top of your head. Once you've curled all of your hair, let it cool for a few minutes before touching it or combing it. When you're finished, turn off the curling iron and let it cool down before storing it away.
