My Benefit Boi-ing Brightening Concealer Review.
Despite the smaller shade range, I found the process of finding my shade quite easy.
I chose shade 3 Cantaloupe - I found the online product swatches, shade descriptions and models very helpful.
Although if you're not sure, I encourage giving the product a search on YouTube and finding someone with a similar skin tone and undertone to you who's reviewed the product.
Now onto the product itself. Can we talk about the cute packaging?
I felt a stationary-themed photoshoot was called for.
When I first opened the concealer and saw the style of doe-foot applicator, I was sceptical.
I've used and hated other concealers with the same smaller applicator, I much prefer a cushion tip because they're so quick and easy to use.
But when I swiped the concealer under my eyes, the applicator made sense because it suits the thinner, fluid-like consistency of the product.
First impressions: I couldn’t get over how light the concealer was. It actually feels like popping on an eye cream.
The texture blends beautifully into my skin, leaving an incredibly natural, luminous finish.
Yes, the brand recommends dotting the product on sparingly, but I'm a bit more heavy handed with my concealer.
I also like to use my concealer to highlight and add dimension to my face, and the brightening formula is perfect for that.
Sorry for the different lighting, but you can see below just how radiant this concealer is, while still looking like skin.
Another thing I usually do with concealer is set it with a light layer of powder to keep it from sliding around on my oily skin.
But I wanted to challenge the long-wearing claims, so I only used a teeeeeeeny amount of powder.
After testing this concealer over the last few weeks, including at an event where I was required to wear a mask for 4 hours, I can confirm it stays put.
Hydrating makeup products usually don't last on my skin, but this concealer doesn't move at all.
If anything, it actually looks better the longer I wear it, because it marinates and melds into the skin.
See? Flawless.
My Verdict...
If you want a full coverage concealer, I'd definitely suggest trying the Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless concealer.
But personally, the medium, radiant coverage of Benefit Boi-ing Bring On Concealer is right up my alley.
It ticks all my concealer boxes and gives me the flawless look I strive for. My wallet likes that it's under $45 too.
But maybe the best indication this concealer is a winner was the ‘WOAW’ I got from my friends while wearing it.
