When news of their newly launched Lip Comfort Oil Balms reached my desk, you can bet that I begged the team to let me road test the product.
Lucky for me, they said yes.

Our Clarins Lip Comfort Oil Balm Reviews:

First up, my review on this new Clarins lip balm...
Typically my lips are always dry.
Despite drinking plenty of water (most of the time), lathering them in hydrating balms and occasionally exfoliating them, my lips just never seem to naturally look soft and smooth.
I’ve noticed that especially since becoming a mum, I am reaching for tinted lip balms on the reg to provide my face with a subtle hint of colour, but to also hide the fact that I have chapped lips more often than not.
As always, the Clarins packaging is sleek and stylish. I choose to try the “Cherry” shade which is exactly as you’d imagine, a beautiful bright red.
My curiosity piqued seeing such a strong pigment in the packaging, and wondering how this would apply once on my lips. I was hoping for a colour I could wear every day without feeling over-done.
It was love at first swipe!
This applied so beautifully on my lips, it simply gilded on. It really is a true hybrid of an oil and a balm.
It was a little more translucent than I expected but I actually loved the finish.
A cherry tint coated my lips and it was shiny and hydrating with no sticky feeling whatsoever.
It’s the perfect lip addition for a no makeup, makeup look when you’re wanting something to look quite understated and natural.
If you do want to go for a bolder look, I would recommend using this as a top coat to your lipliner and/or lipstick to add shine and an additional colour tint.

Shade: 'Pitaya'
"I was eager to try this newcomer – the buzz around the cult-favourite Clarins Lip Oil had me convinced that my lips were in for a real treat.
Feeling brave, I went bold and picked up the Pitaya shade. I'm usually more low-key, but the new season and its sunny skies have been inspiring me to try something new.
Turns out, this shade is a winner! The warm, rosy hue instantly brightens up my face. The texture is smooth and soft, hugging my lips with a dewy, buildable pigment that has just a hint of sweetness.
I even tried dabbing it onto my cheeks, and it blended in beautifully with my fingertips. The hydrating formula gives skin a subtle, fresh glow – thanks to its skincare-heavy formula that keeps things hydrating and comfortable.
The only downside? It’s not the longest-wearing formula. And yes, it's a bit of a splurge. But considering it doubles as both balm and oil, it’s a sweet indulgence.
If you're on the hunt for a new lip staple (or the perfect holiday gift), this one’s a keeper."

Shade: Lychee.
"The Clarins Lip Comfort Oil Balm has a sheer, lightweight consistency which feels amazing on the lips!
The slight tint of colour makes it a great option to pair with a liner for a lip on the go or alternatively wear it on its own for extra hydration.
This neutral shade also goes nicely with pretty much everything in my wardrobe!"
Adele, Customer Experience.

Shade: Almond.
"Clarins Lip Comfort Oil Balm is like a soothing embrace for your lips.
It is hydrating and nourishing and perfectly balances the comfort of a balm with the glossy finish of a lip oil."
Megan, Content Manager.

Shade: Pale Pink.
"This is a very comforting balm that feels like silk on the lips.
I trialled shade 01 which offers a very subtle baby pink sheen to the lips which I really enjoyed.
My favourite way to us this balm was to apply a lip stain and then go over the top with the oil balm.
If you've got dry lips I think you will especially appreciate the oil/balm combo."
