Hi, I’m Ash! I'm a part of Adore Beauty's Customer Service Team, I've specialized in skincare for almost 3 years and I'm a Skincare Fairy in the making!
So I enjoyed the Australian sun a little much over the festive season and now my skin is in need of some major TLC. Yes, I’m guilty of spending lots of time in the scorching sun, but unfortunately all the
sunscreen, bucket hats and kaftans that I covered myself with couldn't keep out those pesky pigment monsters, so I’m here to give my skin some fitness and ninja those melanin nasties with my kick-a** “Brightening Routine”.

Where do you sit on the Beauty Scale?

What is the Best Way to Prevent Fine Lines and Dull Skin?
The sun is responsible for 99% of your fine lines, which makes sunscreen the ultimate ingredient for younger-looking skin. Use an SPF 30+ or higher daily. No matter your skin type or where you sit on the Fitzpatrick scale everyone needs to use one!
The trusty sidekick that I reach for daily is a good vitamin C, it does wonders on brightening, hydrating, preventing damage and giving my skin that “lit from within” look.

My Morning Routine to Treat Pigmentation and Brighten Sun-Damaged Skin
Step 1: Benefit Cosmedix Cleanser
Step 1: Benefit Cosmedix Cleanser
This super-hydrating cleanser is gentle and nourishing on my skin.
really comforts my skin in all the right places as well as removing make-up and dirt. It’s gel-like texture and ingredients make the perfect cleanser for those with dryer skin types. Apply a small amount into the palm of the hand and emulsify with water, massage onto the skin.
Beauty Buff Hot Tip- Cleanse for at least 30-60 seconds! This ensures that all those ingredients are working there magic on removing the day's grime/bacteria and makeup from the skin's surface.
Step 2: Medik8 Intense Hydrating Serum
Step 2: Medik8 Intense Hydrating Serum
is like a massive guzzle of water to my dehydrated skin and it just can’t get enough of it. I’m able to use this serum all-year-round because of its lightweight texture. I apply one full drop to my face, neck, and decolletage straight after I've cleansed my face while the skin is still damp (products absorb better this way)
Step 3: Aspect Vitamin C Serum
Step 3: Aspect Vitamin C Serum
I honestly can’t leave the house without a Vitamin C.
is an antioxidant facial serum which helps to reduce fine lines whilst firming and brightening skin. It sinks into the skin like nothing and leaves the perfect glow to the skin. Oh, and it smells like freshly squeezed juice (and not in an artificial way either). Apply one pump to the palm of your hand and press onto the skin, wait a couple of minutes between each serum.
Step 4: Cosmedix Brightening Serum
Step 4: Cosmedix Brightening Serum
is the main event! It targets existing pigmentation whilst also working as a blocker for preventing future pigment from making its way to the surface of the skin. Its texture is extremely light on the skin. I apply a pea-sized amount to freshly cleansed skin and press onto the skin.
Don’t waste your hard-earned cash on multiple serums if you’re not willing to protect your skin with a daily SPF
Step 5: Ultra Violette Sunscreen SPF 50+
Step 5: Ultra Violette Sunscreen SPF 50+
is my go-to as it works as a lightweight moisturizer, primer, and SPF in one! I love how glowy and hydrated my skin is after, the best part about this skin-screen is that it doesn't leave you looking ghostly. I tend to use about 2 to 3 pumps which cover my whole face, neck, chest, and decolletage.
Beauty Buff Hot Tip- Apply sunscreen as your last skincare step in your AM routine, EVERY SINGLE DAILY, basically don’t leave the house without this slapped on your face!!
