How do I use the muk Hot Round Brush?

Only use this on dry hair, never on wet or damp hair. Ensuring your hair is completely dry, use a heat protector before using the muk Hot Round Brush to protect hair from heat styling damage. Select your ideal heat setting and starting by sectioning the hair, use the muk Hot Round Brush at the roots to create lift and volume.

TO CREATE VOLUME: Section the hair and use muk Hot Round Brush at the root area to create lift and volume. Hold the brush at the root area for 2 seconds before gently winding mid-lengths and ends around the brush (if curl is desired on mid-lengths and ends). Hold until the heat has transferred through the section (5 – 8 seconds).

TO CREATE WAVES AND FULLNESS (bouncy blowout): Section the hair and starting underneath working up, holding the muk Hot Hot Round Brush vertically, wind the hair gently around the barrel starting at the mid-lengths. Wrap the ends of the hair around the barrel, roll the brush and hold until the heat has transferred through the section (5 – 8 seconds).

Slowly release the hair, taking care to gently unwind and allow to cool completely before finishing.

I bought this with the intention of using it as a touch up tool to prolong my blowout- but this takes double the time. It is so annoying to use, hair will get stuck and ripped out no matter how detangled it is. You need at least 5-6 passes to smooth hair that is already blown out so it does cause significant hair damage

I am still getting used to the hot brush but so far I don’t think it is worth it, does not make my hair smooth and any volume or curls do not last.

I use this to curl my hair, I originally bought it because I was interested do the ghd rise but didn’t want to spend that much. This has excellent tension which is both a blessing and a curse. It was hard to learn to use for a blow wave curl look but it works quite well once you figure it out. I alternate this with the classic curl tong, my hair is smoother and softer with the Muk but not as curle...
