New & Noteworthy Beauty Products Our Team Are Trying and Loving Right Now

Kora serum Benefit goof brow Kora serum Benefit goof brow

One of the best parts of our jobs here at Adore Beauty is getting to try, test and play with buzzy new beauty products and launches before they hit our digital shelves (sometimes, before they even hit stores!).

I know, we all pinch ourselves every.day.

Our office is often buzzing with chatter of new creams, foundations, haircare, fragrances or serums that people are loving (and other people aren’t) and we’re regularly ‘influenced’ by each other's beauty purchases and opinions.

So we thought, why not bring the beauty intel to you guys? Because that’s what we do best.

We love a good beauty review and turns out, you guys do too!

So every few months I’ll bring you the ‘New & Noteworthy’ beauty products that our team are currently using and loving.

While some are new launches, others are newly discovered classics, or not quite new, but ‘new to us’.

Here are some recent standouts for us…

Kathryn, Email Marketing Manager.

Beauty of Joseon sheet mask Beauty of Joseon sheet mask

What: BEAUTY OF JOSEON Centella Asiatica Calming Mask

Why this is Kathyrn's new and noteworthy:

"I'll never say no to a relaxing sheet-mask-Sunday moment, and at $4.50 a pop these new cruelty-free masks make it SO affordable to do.

They contain a calming ingredient known as 'tiger grass' which they say tigers roll in when injured (I'm crying), and one of my fave ingredients, hyaluronic acid.

I'm left with hydrated, soft-looking skin after use, and have excess liquid to rub onto my arms, too."

Tori, People & Culture Coordinator.

What: Huda Beauty Cheeky Tint Blush Stick

Why this is Tori's new and noteworthy:

"Being a self-proclaimed lazy gal, I absolutely adore the Huda blush stick!

It's incredibly convenient for me to quickly apply in the morning, instantly adding a touch of vibrant color to my otherwise pale complexion.

With just a few gentle dots on my cheeks, I effortlessly blend it out using a small brush, and DONE."

Megan, Social Media Manager.

KORA Organics Plant Stem Cell Retinol Alternative Serum 30mL KORA Organics Plant Stem Cell Retinol Alternative Serum 30mL

What: KORA Organics Plant Stem Cell Retinol Alternative Serum 30mL

Why this is Megan's new and noteworthy:

"My skin can sometimes be a little fussy when it comes to retinol so I was so excited to try Kora's plant based alternative.

It is super gentle on the skin and can be used day and night which fits into my routine perfectly.

Love how hydrated and plump is makes my skin look and feel!"

Gerard, Head of Brands & Campaign Marketing.

Kerastase genesis hair serum skinceuticals moisturiser Kerastase genesis hair serum skinceuticals moisturiser

What: Kérastase Genesis Homme Anti-Hair fall Serum 90ml

"Kerastase serums have become a slight obsession for me - I currently have four in the rotation and a fifth one which is just about to be released.

They all target different concerns from scalp to tip but my current fave is the new Genesis Homme collection which I have raved about in this Beauty IQ article.

I am STILL obsessed with the smell and ease of use for an anti-hair fall product (it's usually so complicated and smells awful)!"

What: SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Interrupter Advanced

"This new formula is STUN-NING from how it looks to how it works.

I've been wearing it as a bit of a mask overnight to support my skin after going a little too hard on the acids.

Goodbye dry patches. Goodbye redness. Hello calm, plumped skin. While it is up there in price, I find a little goes a long way and I only use it at night."

Sadaf, Senior Beauty Editor.

ultra violette preen screen spf mist cicaplast b5 ultra violette preen screen spf mist cicaplast b5

What: Ultra Violette Preen Screen SPF50 Reapplication Mist SKINSCREEN 75ml

This glorious SPF top-up mist is like, NEW new and it’s become an instant hit for all of us here at Adore Beauty. And why wouldn't it?

It not only tops up your sunscreen application without disrupting your makeup, it also leaves your skin looking glowy.

And for those who were never sure how (or were too lazy to) reapply sunscreen over their makeup during the day, like I said in this BIQ article - no more excuses!

What: La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+ Balm

She’s an icon, she’s a legend and she’s always the moment.

Could one of the world’s most loved and best cheap moisturisers get any better? I didn't think so, but apparently, it has.

The much-loved and multi-use Cicaplast Baume that’s been keeping our faces and dry bits hydrated, moisturised and soothed now has the added benefit of probiotics (powered by microbiome science for faster and better repair) in the formula so your skin barrier is going to be extra happy (especially in the cooler months).

What: Juliette Has A Gun Ego Stratis EDP 50ml

I sniffed a sample of this new genderless fragrance from Juliette Has A Gun and while the first instant hit smells very masculine it settles into a lovely subdued scent that’s neither too masculine nor too feminine.

The aquatic notes counterbalance the zingy citrus perfectly.

It's very versatile too. Like I would totally wear this on an Amalfi Coast holiday or just to dinner on a Saturday night.

I’m also sneaking in a ‘not new, but new to me’ fragrance in here...

After sniffing Aesop Marrakech Intense Eau de Parfum 50mL in my cousin’s bedroom recently, I thought “Oh my god, this is my new favourite scent.”

Then I smelt Aesop Eidesis Eau de Parfum 50ml and now, it’s all I think about.

More people need to know how good this alluring, woody scent is!

Jojoba mask Benefit Goop brow Jojoba mask Benefit Goop brow

What: Benefit Goof Proof Brow Powder

"This product single-handedly got me back into brow powders. I fell out of love with them for a little while, opting for the Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil to fill in my sparse areas instead, but Goof Proof gave me the natural-looking brows of my dreams.

It’s so easy to use and has a beautiful silky powder formula that’s buildable and stays in place all day.

I also appreciate the huge variety of shades (10 in total) available, because my brows fall into that in-between brown/black range, which can make colour matching near impossible.

Highly recommend Goof Proof for beginners or anyone looking to touch up patchy brows without them looking overdone.

Hot tip: use it with the Benefit Pomade Brush for effortless application."

What: The Ordinary Glucoside Foaming Cleanser - 150ml

"This cleanser completely took me by surprise.

It landed in my lap by chance and I brought it home for my partner to try (mostly so he’d stop pillaging my expensive skincare) on his normal-to-oily skin.

When he loved it, I thought I’d give it a try.

Having dry skin, I usually err on the side of caution when it comes to foaming cleansers, but The Ordinary assured Glucoside is gentle enough to be used on sensitive skin—and I can attest to that!

I used it as the second cleanser in my routine and loved how clean, smooth and glowy my skin looked and felt afterwards.

If you love the feel of a deep-cleaning lather but need a gentle formula, give this one a go!"

What: The Jojoba Company Pure Jojoba Gel Mask 50ml

"My dry skin and I have been long-standing fans of Jojoba’s cult face oil, so when the new Gel Mask came across my desk I was thrilled to give it a go.

It has the most gorgeous texture that lands somewhere between a gel and a nourishing moisturiser, and feels instantly cooling on the skin.

Depending on your skin type, you can use it as a regular mask, overnight mask or moisturiser.

For my dehydration-prone skin, I love applying it 1-2 nights a week for 10 or so minutes and massaging in the residue afterwards to soak up its hydrating deliciousness."

dermaplaner and YSL dermaplaner and YSL

What: Kitsch Eco-Friendly Dermaplaners

"Dermaplaning is definitely not a new exfoliating technique, but I recently jumped on the bandwagon- and I am OBSESSED.

It definitely intimidated me at first, as shaving my face wasn't something I'd ever done before (aside from the 'mo of course) but I'm now a convert.

These Kitsch razors are perfect for anyone wanting to give dermaplaning a go, as they're great value (you get multiple razors in the one pack) and also small enough to allow precision around the brows/chin."

What: Yves Saint Laurent Libre EDP 30ml

"When YSL released Libre, it immediately popped up on my radar as a scent I wanted to add to my fragrance wardrobe.

I finally got my hands on it a few weeks ago and let me tell you - it is absolutely gorgeous and was well worth the wait.

It's elegant and elevated while still being fresh, like the perfect white shirt. It goes with everything."
