OK cool, but what's Teddy 2.0 really like? Spoiler: It's bloody beaut!
As someone who A) is fairly lazy and B) eats and drinks a lot, I love the softer, less 'done' matte effect of the powder kiss lipstick formula.
Think of it as matte lipstick, but with training wheels on. You get the power and boldness of a traditional matte in a hydrating formula that feels creamy on the lips. No gross congealed bits of lippie or harsh lip liner by the end of the day here!
In fact, I'd go as far as to say MAC Powder Kiss Lipstick almost looks better the longer you wear it, because it fades out to a stain that people will think was on purpose.
(Or at least, that's what I tell myself when I forget to reapply...)
It is still a matte lipstick though, so you'll get the best application on lips that have been exfoliated and prepped with a lip primer like M.A.C Cosmetics Prep + Prime Lip or a hydrating balm.
I also wore this lippie with the M.A.C Cosmetics Lip Pencil in the shade Spice, but the texture of this formula is more forgiving and harder to stuff up if you can't be bothered with the extra step.
Oh, and if you're in a rush or just can't be effed with using a heap of makeup products in the morning, you can apply Teddy 2.0 as your blush.
I like to dab it straight onto the apples of my cheeks and blend upwards using my fingers or a flat stippling makeup brush for a tonal effect that looks way more put together than I usually feel.
Case in point: I got around 30 DMs from people asking where they could find my lipstick and blush combo when I posted that shameless selfie above wearing this lippie on Instagram.
Bottom line, if you already love MAC's Velvet Teddy lipstick, I'd bet on my indoor plant collection you'll adore the new shade Teddy 2.0, too.
