How Do I Get Brighter Skin?

I believe more is more when it comes to skincare. So I’ve tried a lot of products over the past and I’d be lying if I said it’s been an easy road for my combination skin type but I can safely say that I’m fully invested with my skin, I'm currently now hoarding a very excessive and aesthetically pleasing serum team.

If you're seeking brighter skin or did what I did this summer (and ate the sun), then these products below work wonders on tuning up the complexion so it’s functioning and glowing at its best again. Whether you are suffering from sunspots, hyper-pigmentation or acne scars this could be the perfect routine for you.

My Night-Time Routine to Treat Pigmentation and Brighten Sun-Damaged Skin

Step 1: Face Halo Wipes

Step 1: Face Halo Wipes

I dampen my face halo with lukewarm water and remove the bulk of makeup. I really enjoy using Face Halo Original because it's super soft on the skin, you won't feel any stretching with these reusable microfiber pads. Make sure your face is completely dry and ready for the next step.

Step 2: Aspect Fruit Enzyme Mask

Step 2: Aspect Fruit Enzyme Mask

Aspect Fruit Enzyme Mask 50g gently melts away the dead skin cells that lie on the epidermis layer of the skin. It's a dual combination of a chemical and physical exfoliator. Apply 1-2 pumps to dry skin, wipe over the surface of the skin, let it activate for 60 secs then with gentle circular motions massage around the face and neck for at least 1min. You’ll notice tiny little balls appear (these are dead skin cells), then rinse.

Step 3: Cosmedix Gentle Cleanser

Step 3: Cosmedix Gentle Cleanser

This super-hydrating cleanser is gentle and nourishing on my skin, it really comforts my skin in all the right places. Cosmedix Benefit Clean Gentle Cleanser has a gel-like texture and non-irritating ingredients make the perfect cleanser for those with dryer skin types.

Step 4: Medik8 Intense Hydrating Serum

Step 4: Medik8 Intense Hydrating Serum

Medik8 Hydr8 B5 Intense is like a massive guzzle of water to my dehydrated skin and it just can’t get enough of it. I’m able to use this serum all-year-round because of its lightweight texture. I pop it on right after you’ve washed your face while the skin is still damp (products absorb better this way). Add one full dropper to the face and neck.

Result = Super smooth and silky skin!

Step 5: Cosmedix Rapid Renewal Serum

Step 5: Cosmedix Rapid Renewal Serum

Cosmedix Serum 16 Rapid Renewal Serum improves texture, boosts vital hydration, brightens the look of age spots and discoloration. Alongside the normal results from retinol-based serum-like fine lines and wrinkles- I love it because it offers zero irritation to the skin and has nice emulsion like texture (creamy but light). Massage 1-2 pumps to the face and neck.

Step 6: Aspect Probiotic Sleep Mask

Step 6: Aspect Probiotic Sleep Mask

Aspect Probiotic Mask is absolutely heavenly! I like to leave it on overnight to infuse my skin with all those rich vitamins and hydration. I wake up to glow-boosting skin by morning. She’s rich but magic on the skin. Apply a 5 cent piece to the face and neck, use upward motions starting from the neck.

  • Beauty Buff Hot Tip- For dry/dehydrated skin, Aspect Probiotic Mask can be applied as your morning moisturizer.

And that's it! 6 easy steps to glowing, bright skin. Find out more about the products I use below.
